A woman was arrested after a fire last night in Harlan County, Kentucky killed her 3-year-old nephew. Officers say Amanda Brock left the toddler and her 11-year-old son alone unsupervised at a home in the Coldiron community as she traveled to Letcher County. Officials say something went wrong and the fire started. Police say the 11-year-old escaped the home and went to a neighbor’s home for help. But the home was soon fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters later found the 3-year-old dead inside the home. Brock is charged with second-degree manslaughter and first-degree wanton endangerment. Fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
