WAYNE COUNTY GRAND JURY PASSES DOWN CHARGES ON 14 INDIVIDUALS

The Wayne County Grand Jury met this week and handed down the following indictments in individuals:

Lucas Bertram, age 30, Monticello – criminal possession of a forged instrument

Jimmy Coffey, age 64, Monticello – wanton endangerment, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon

Brandon Collins, age 30, Monticello – second-degree escape, theft by unlawful taking, being a persistent felony offender

Adam Crabtree, age 20, Monticello – third-degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking, unlawful transaction with a minor, criminal mischief

James R. Ferrell, age 32, Glasgow – Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, fourth-degree assault

Amy Lowe, age 33, Monticello – first-degree fleeing or evading police, second-degree fleeing or evading police, first offense DUI, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, no or expired registration, no or expired registration plates, failure to produce a vehicle insurance card, failure to maintain vehicle insurance, no operator’s license and being a persistent felony offender.

Robert Kay Parris, age 43, Monticello – trafficking a controlled substance, being a persistent felony offender

Anthony Phillips, age 42, Monticello – second-degree burglary, third-degree burglary, stalking

Angela Sexton, age 47, Monticello – possession of a controlled substance

Kassondra Smith, age 32, Monticello – two counts of forgery

Christie Townsend, age 40, Monticello – first offense DUI, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, no or expired vehicle registration receipt, no or expired vehicle registration plate, no operator’s license, failure to wear seat belt

Dessie Watkins, age 27, Winfield Tennessee – flagrant nonsupport

John West, age 35, Monticello – trafficking a controlled substance, being a persistent felony offender

Catherine Young, age 22, Monticello – first-degree bail jumping
