TWO ARRESTED IN WAYNE COUNTY IN CONNECTION TO STOLEN TRUCK

Two individuals are facing charges after a traffic stop in Wayne County, Kentucky. Deputies pulled over a 1997 Dodge pickup truck with Georgia registration on Fair Street. Officers learned that the pickup truck had been stolen from a Walmart parking lot in Rincon, Georgia on May 15, 2018. Deputies charged 34-year-old Joseph N. Willis of Monticello with receiving stolen property over $10,000, theft of identity of another without consent, operating a motor vehicle on a suspended or revoked operator’s license and a traffic violation. Willis was also arrested on a Campbell County, Kentucky District Court warrant for failure to appear on the underlying charges of assault and 2 counts of probation violation. Deputies also charged 24-year-old Sherry A. Gray of Monticello with receiving stolen property over $10,000. Both were taken to the Wayne County Detention Center.
