Two people were arrested at a Wayne County, Kentucky church following a lookout posted for them. State police say 38-year-old Dustin Ammon was allegedly planning to drive 45-year-old Heidi Nehls deep into the woods and shoot her. A trooper and a Wayne County deputy located Ammon sitting in the driver’s set of a vehicle at Elk Ridge Baptist Church. Ammons was ordered to exit the vehicle. No weapons were found on Ammon or in the vehicle and Nehls was in the passenger seat. Ammon had slurred speech and appeared to be unstable. He agreed to field sobriety tests and was later placed under arrest for DUI. Nehls was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possessing a prescription controlled substance not in a proper container. Both were taken to the Wayne County Detention Center.
