PICKETT COUNTY TO GET GRANT FOR EMERGENCY SERVICES

State Senator Ken Yager announced today that a $110,000 grant will go to Pickett County for their emergency services. The funds will be used to respond to emergencies and for additional fire equipment to better prepare the EMS department for emergency disaster calls. The money is by way of the Community Development Block Grants from the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. These grants are designed to assist cities and counties with infrastructure needs.
