LOCAL MAN INDICTED BY GRAND JURY FOR MURDER

A Clinton County, Kentucky man has been indicted by a Russell County grand jury for murder.

Court papers show 38-year-old David Johnson of Albany also faces criminal attempt to commit murder, wanton endangerment, being a persistent felony offender, and two counts of custodial interference.

Johnson is charged with the murder of 28-year-old Coty Lawhorn of Russell Springs in an incident that occurred June 8, 2018. That eventually led to a police chase that began in Russell County and ended in Clinton County.
