NWS TEAM TO BE IN FENTRESS COUNTY TO DETERMINE IF TORNADO STRUCK

The National Weather Service said late yesterday a survey team will arrive in Fentress County today to determine if a tornado touched down in the Muddy Pond area early yesterday morning. Residents of the Muddy Pond area reported hearing the tradition sound of a train coming through in relation to the sound a tornado makes when its nearby on the ground. Officials also reported a home on the 1800 block of Campground Road was slightly moved off its foundation. No injuries were reported.
